SUNBLOC LLC — LIABILITY & TECHNICAL DISCLAIMER Last Updated: May 20, 2026

1. Educational and Informational Purposes Only
All content, materials, calculators, software tools, text, graphics, and instructional videos provided on or through the Sunbloc LLC website and Platform are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Sunbloc LLC does not provide professional engineering, licensed electrical contracting, or certified architectural services. Your use of the Platform, its tools, or its instructional content does not establish a professional-client, engineer-client, or contractor-client relationship of any kind between you and Sunbloc LLC.
The design logic underlying the Sunbloc Solar Design Tool is derived from the National Electrical Code (NEC), including Articles 690, 250, and 310, and is intended to guide users through an NEC-informed design process. Tool outputs are provided for educational and planning purposes only and do not constitute a professional engineering certification or a guarantee of code compliance for any specific installation. The tool's design logic is developed for application within the United States under US electrical standards. Users outside the United States are solely responsible for evaluating the applicability of any tool outputs to their local regulatory framework.

2. Beta Software Designation and Calculation Verification
The Sunbloc Solar Design Tool and associated calculators are currently designated as Beta software. This designation reflects the Platform's current development phase and will be updated upon full public launch. While we are committed to mathematical accuracy based on standard solar engineering principles, this software is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Mandatory Independent Verification: Every calculation, wire sizing recommendation, overcurrent protection sizing, solar array configuration, and battery bank layout generated by this tool must be independently verified by the user before implementation. This includes but is not limited to:
-
Conductor ampacity and derating calculations;
-
Overcurrent protection device sizing and coordination;
-
Battery bank configuration and interconnection;
-
Solar array voltage and current parameters under worst-case conditions.
The Webcourse Obligation: The Sunbloc instructional webcourse is explicitly designed to teach you the foundational principles necessary to manually verify these calculations. By using the Platform, you agree not to rely solely on automated tool outputs for any physical installation decision.
3. Compliance, Permitting, and Insurance Requirements
Off-grid solar installations — including residential fixed systems, mobile systems (camper vans, RVs, skoolies, overlanding rigs), and marine applications — are subject to regulation under a range of federal, state, local, and industry-specific standards. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements, which may include:
-
The National Electrical Code (NEC) and any state or local amendments thereto;
-
Municipal building codes and permitting requirements;
-
Utility interconnection rules where applicable;
-
For mobile and vehicle-based systems: applicable standards including but not limited to ABYC, RVIA, and FMVSS, which may differ from or supplement NEC requirements;
-
Your applicable automotive, RV, homeowner, or property insurance policy requirements.
Professional Sign-Off: If your project requires official permitting, structural evaluation, grid-tie approval, or insurance-mandated professional certification, you must engage a locally licensed professional engineer (PE) and/or a licensed electrician for review, engineering stamp, and inspection sign-off. Sunbloc LLC's course completion and design tool outputs do not substitute for or satisfy any such professional review requirement.

3. Assumption of Risk
Working with electrical systems — including high-voltage DC and AC circuits, lithium-ion and lead-acid battery banks, solar charge controllers, inverters, and associated structural mounting — involves inherent and serious dangers, including severe electrical shock, arc flash, catastrophic fire, property destruction, personal injury, and death.
By accessing and using this Platform, you expressly acknowledge that:
-
You understand the physical risks associated with off-grid electrical system design and installation;
-
You assume full and sole responsibility for any physical installation you undertake, direct, or oversee based on content or outputs from this Platform;
-
Sunbloc LLC's course materials and design tools are educational resources only, and completion of any course module or use of any design tool does not qualify you as a licensed electrician, certified solar installer, or professional engineer.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE ARIZONA AND FEDERAL LAW, SUNBLOC LLC, ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND ASSIGNS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, EQUIPMENT FAILURE, COMPONENT FAILURE, FINANCIAL LOSS, REGULATORY FINES, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH — ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:
-
YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE PLATFORM, ITS CONTENT, OR ITS TOOL OUTPUTS;
-
YOUR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE PLATFORM;
-
ANY PHYSICAL INSTALLATION UNDERTAKEN BASED ON COURSE CONTENT OR DESIGN TOOL OUTPUTS;
-
ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN PLATFORM CONTENT OR TOOL OUTPUTS.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SUNBLOC LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SUNBLOC LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sunbloc LLC, its founders, officers, agents, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
-
Your use of the Platform or reliance on its content or tool outputs;
-
Any physical installation you undertake or direct based on Platform content;
-
Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
-
Any claim by a third party — including property owners, co-installers, inspectors, insurers, or injured parties — arising from an installation or system you designed or built using the Platform.
6. Severability
If any provision of this Disclaimer is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
